Gabriel’s two painting series, A Mother’s Ménière's and A Perforation in an Adults World,  capture the journey of adapting to hearing loss as an adult. Gabriel initiated both series by painting in repsonse to the stories being shared live, so she could respond instinctively to Margie and Bethan’s stories. Gabriel then further explored the stories by weaving visuals, inspired by scientific imagery related to their conditions, into the emotional impressions.
